I'm probably best known for being the owner of the "Best B&B in the world". This was bestowed upon The 25 Boutique B&B by travel review website TripAdvisor, out of over one million B&Bs worldwide! Having never received anything less than an "excellent" review on their site, I not only won it, but repeated the win again the following year, the first B&B ever to achieve this, as well as the only B&B ever to reach one thousand "excellent" only reviews.
Prior to moving to Torquay and creating The 25 Boutique B&B, I had a country house hotel in North Wales. This was set in 15 acres with more bedrooms, self-catering cottages, a restaurant and we also held weddings and events. I ran this for over seven years, widening my experience in all aspects of the hotel, restaurant, wedding and events space. Again, we were award winning becoming the top rated in North Wales and one of the UK's top ten hotels.
All this was achieved not only by hard work and determination, but the ability to put myself in the customer's shoes and create the experience they wanted and needed. I can help you improve your business by taking an independent impartial view of all aspects of your business and customer experience operations, offering solutions and enhancements.

In addition to providing a world class customer experience in hospitality, I ran the customer service departments for high-end car manufacturers including their director's post team and commercial department prior to buying the hotel business.
I know how to deal with all types of customers and difficult situations. I now offer customer experience training and consulting services to provide ways for you to improve your customer satisfaction.
People buy off people they like, know and trust. I can help you build that trust and show you how little touches across your business can make a big difference to your offering. These little touches needn't be expensive but will get your customers talking, posting to social media, mentioning in reviews and build customer loyalty.

I offer anything from sitting with a business owner one-to-one for a couple of hours brain storming ways to improve your business, bookings and profits, to customised group training courses and in-depth business consulting.
I offer advice in a non-judgmental constructive manner. Sometimes it takes an outsider to look objectively at all aspects of your business to notice things you could be doing differently. The ultimate aim for accommodation businesses is to bring in more guests who book direct and at the best price, thus paying less commission to third party websites, making more profit and more than covering my fees several times over. This creates lifetime guests who come back again and again because of the customer experience you have created.
Give me a call to discuss your issues and make a booking. I am often booked up in advance, but can fit smaller jobs in between larger projects. I usually charge a minimum of two hours, at £125 per hour. Travel time and expenses may be added on top depending on your location. Long distances or other countries may also be possible via Zoom.

Having also appeared on Four in a Bed and various other TV shows, I offer coaching to ensure you come across well on TV, and how to make the most of these amazing PR opportunities.
I'm an after dinner speaker, and regularly talk at industry events such as the Independent Hotel Show at Olympia in London and the West Country Tourism Conference, telling the story of my journey and imparting knowledge and tips for success.
Having won just about every award there is to win in the industry (I stopped counting at 50!), I am now a judge for various hospitality and tourism awards. As such, I can ensure you have what it takes to qualify, help you complete your application form, and coach you for any mystery visit.
